English Scones

2 cups all-purpose flour

4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 cup sugar

6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened 

2/3 cup whole milk

1 lg. egg

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients 

In another bowl, mix all wet ingredients, then mix all ingredients together to make a dough.

Place the dough on a floured surface and knead it about 10 times until the dough is smooth. Roll the dough out and cut scones. Place in a lightly greased baking pan 

Bake 13 - 15 minutes. 

note;

You can use a biscuit cutter or a knife and cut into pizza-like slices
