Yum Yum SAUCE

1 cup mayo 1Tbsp ketchup  1 Tbsp melted butter  1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp paprika 1Tbsp sugar 1 tsp onion powder  1 Tbsp water  Mix all ingredients and refrigerate

Cucumber sandwich

 8oz. cream cheese, softened 2 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 tablespoon lemon juice  I tablespoon dill, chopped A dash of salt, pepper, and garlic 2or three cucumbers sliced  Place the cream spread on the bread, and then place the cucumbers on top 

3 ingredient Peanut butter cookies

 1 cup white granulated sugar 1 egg  1 cup peanut butter Mix all together exsert into balls Place on an ungreased cookie sheet, press flat with a fork, and bake at 350 degrees for about 7 to 10 minutes Note: I sometimes add a tsp of vanilla.

Baked chicken

  Place about 6 chicken parts in a baking dish, and pour in a small can of chicken broth and one pack of cream cheese  Pour in a pack of Ranch dressing .  Bake for about 2 to 3 hours or until tender.  Oven 400 degrees

Cast iron skillet corn bread

 Two cups of cornmeal, I use self-rising  One cup of SR flour One large egg Enough whole milk or buttermilk to make a batter ( not too thick and not too thin  Stir all together and pour into a hot, greased skillet and bake at 400 degrees until golden brown on the top and around the sides. Make sure you preheat the oven. note; Sometimes I add a 1/4 cup of butter to the batter to make sure it doesn't crumble so much.

Chicken casserole

  In a casserole dish, place 4 or 5 pieces of chicken, any part of the chicken, in the dish. Pour one cup of ranch dressing over the chicken  Pour in one can of Cream of chicken soup {do not add a can of water}. Pour in a can of mixed vegetables, drained. You can use fresh or frozen. Dust a pack of dry onion soup over the mixture and bake at 400 degrees for 2 to 3 hours, or crock pot it for around 5 hours.

Creamy spread for Bagels

 In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, everything bagel, and garlic salt  Cream all together and spread on a bagel

3 ingredient Martha White biscuits

In a large bowl, place  2 cups self-rising Martha White flour 1/4 cup Crisco lard  1 cup whole milk or buttermilk First, mix the lard and flour until crumbly Add the milk to get a dough, then roll out on a floured surface and knead the dough 5 or 6 times. Roll out and cut out the biscuits and place them in a greased baking pan or cast-iron skillet Pour melted butter over them after they are golden brown and taken out of the oven. Bake at 375 to 400 degrees F

Easy Fruit Kuchen

 One and a half cups of Martha White Self-rising flour 1cup sugar, divided, 1 half cup in cold butter 1 half cup water 1 half cup whole milk, 1 large egg 3 cups fruit of your choice, fresh, canned, or frozen 1half tsps cinnimon 3tbls melted butter Heat oven to 375 degrees Combine flour and half a cup of sugar in a large bowl, and cut in  cold butter In a small bowl, whisk egg and milk, and add to the dry ingredients; it needs to be moist. Pour into a non-stick cooking spray pan  Place the fruit on top of the dough. Mix the cinnamon with the other half cup of sugar and sprinkle on top. Drizzle with melted butter and bake 28 to 35 minutes makes 8 to 10 servings

Martha`s self risen Biscuits

 Heat the oven to 450 Degrees 2 cups Martha White self-rising flour 1/4 cup vegetable shortening 3/4 cup whole milk or buttermilk Place flour in a large bowl  Cut in shortening with two knives or a pastry blender until crumbs are the size of peas. Add milk, stirring with a fork until soft dough forms. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead 5 or 6 times just until smooth. Roll the dough to a half-inch thickness. Cut with a floured 2-inch round cutter, Arrange on a baking sheet with sides touching. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm Makes 10 to 12 biscuits Note: you can use a larger cutter for bigger biscuits 

Buffy’s biscuits

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees. In a large bowl, place these ingredients; 2 cups Self-rising White Lily flour  Add more flour as needed 2 to 3 tablespoons lard Stir in enough whole buttermilk to make a dough, and add one-half cup of heavy whipping cream Stir well and knead a little in the bowl with your hands. Add flour as needed until the dough sticks together and is not sticky Place on a floured counter or parchment paper,  press out with your hands, to about 1 half an inch, or you can use a rolling pin. Dip your biscuit cutter into flour and cut the dough straight down, cut out, and place in a slightly greased iron skillet or pan. Melt some butter and pour it over the biscuits, and bake 10 to 13 minutes (oven varies) or until the tops and bottoms are a golden brown  When done, pour more butter over them. Do not over-bake, for they may be too dry

Cinnamon sweet bread

1/2 cup of softened butter  1 cup sugar  2 eggs  1 tablespoon sugar  1 cup butter milk  1/2 box vanilla pudding  2 cups flour/allpurpose 1 tablespoon soda  Mix butter,sugar together and add the eggs and butter milk and vanilla. Mix flour,soda powder and add to the wet ingredients  Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 4 tablespoons cinnamon set aside.  Grease a loaf pan and pour half the batter into the pan then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on the batter swirl it around in the batter then pour the rest of the batter over that and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon and sugar mixture over the top  Bake at 350 degrees oven for 45-55 minutes 

Ranch baked Pork Chops

Rub how many pork chops that you need with dried ranch dressing.Bake in oven on 400 degrees for about 40 to 50 minute’s,in Air Fryer for 15 minutes on each side on 400 degrees…………15 minutes on one side and turn over to the other side and bake another 15 minutes.

Air fryer pork chops

Rub your pork chops well with dried Ranch Dressing  Place in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then turn the other side over and bake another 10 to 15 minutes. If you don`t have an air fryer, you can bake them in the oven for about 30 minutes . 

English Scones

2 cups all-purpose flour 4 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 cup sugar 6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened  2/3 cup whole milk 1 lg. egg Preheat oven to 425 degrees F In a medium bowl, mix all the dry ingredients  In another bowl, mix all wet ingredients, then mix all ingredients together to make a dough. Place the dough on a floured surface and knead it about 10 times until smooth. Roll the dough out and cut scones. Place in a lightly greased baking pan  Bake 13 - 15 minutes.  note; You can use a biscuit cutter or a knife and cut into pizza-like slices Note: You can put fruit, raisins, chocolate chips, or shredded cheese in the dough while mixing

Spinach Dip

1 8 oz cream cheese 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 box chopped frozen spinach 1 med. tomato chopped 1 sm onion chopped Place all ingredients in a microwave bowl and microwave 20 minutes at a time until all is melted and smooth, stir well. Serve with tortilla chips or crusty bread.

Two ingredient biscuits

3 cups SR White Lily flour Enough heavy whipping cream to make a soft dough  Dust a place with flour and roll out the flour dough. Cut out biscuits and place on a greased pan, and bake at 375 degrees for 10 or 15 minutes, or until brown on top I always butter the tops after I remove them from the oven MLN .

Japanese mayo sauce

1 cup mayo 3 tablespoons white sugar 3 tablespoons rice vinegar 2 tablespoons melted butter 3/4 tsp pepeika  dash of garlic powder. Stir all ingredients together well I use it on my stie fried veggies or on the rice  MLN

Ginger Bread

11/4 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup shortening- 2 eggs 1tsp vinegar 1 cup milk 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1tsp baking powder 3/4 tsp cinnamon 3/4 tsp salt 11/2 tsp ginger 1/2 tsp nutmeg Cream sugar and shortening. Beat eggs into the mixture Combine vi negar and milk  Sift dry ingredients together Stir the dry mixture and the wet mixture together until  All ingredients are mixed. Pour into a greased 8x8pan Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour, or until done.  

Pecan Sweet Bread

1 cup chopped pecans  1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 2 large eggs 1/2 cup oil 11/2 cups all-purpose flour  1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla dash of salt Mix dry and then wet ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean..

Golden scratch cake

2 cups sugar 1 cup butter 4 eggs 1 cup buttermilk 3 cups all-purpose flour  3 tsp baking power 1 tsp vanilla dash of salt Cream sugar, add egg yolks Sift flour and baking powder, and add the milk  Add vanilla and salt Fold in stiff beaten egg whites. Bake 350 until golden on top Makes 3 layers  frost with your favorite frosting MLN

French Dressing

One-half cup of vinegar 1 Tbls catup 1 tsp salt  1 clove of garlic, grated  1 cup oil one half cup of sugar dash of pepper 1 large onion, grated Mix all ingredients and let stand for 24 hours Keep leftovers in the fridge

Mamaw Marthas cornbread

Put one half cup of lard in a nine-inch skillet   (don`t exceed) a half cup place in a 400 degreese oven, let heat for a few minutes, until the grease sizzles 1 cup SR flour One and a fourth cup of water (may take a little more ) One cup SR cornmeal One cup of buttermilk. Mix all ingredients together and pour into the hot skillet. Reduce the heat to 350 degrees and bake until golden brown on top

Mamaw Marthas Pimento Cheese

2 Lbs cold Velveeta cheese, grated 1and 1/2 cups  grated cheddar cheese  1 cup mayonnaise One   good squirt of yellow mustard Salt and pepper One and a half cups of mozzarella cheese, grated 1 large jar of pimientos. 1 cup Miracle Whip MLN

Old fashion recipe for lemon sauce

2 pints of white sugar One-half of a  pint of water  Three eggs Beat eggs well Butter the size of a walnut 2 tablespoons of cornstarch  Juice of two lemons; rind from one lemon Cook in a double broiler until thick can be used for filling a tart or for a layer cake MLN

Dried Apple Cake

1cup dried apples 1cup molasses 1cup sugar 1/2 cup butter or lard 1 cup sugar 1 egg  1 cup whole milk 1tsp baking soda 1tsp cloves 1tsp cinnamon dash of nutmeg plain flour Soak apples overnight Drain, chop fine, and cover with molasses. Cook slowly until preserved Mix cake ingredients, adding enough flour to make it as thick as usual fruit cake. Add the apple mixture. Raisins or nuts may also be added. Bake as you would a fruit cake

Simple pound cake

2sticks butter 3 cups sugar 6 eggs 1tsp vanilla 3 cups flour 1/2 pint whipping cream (don't whip)  Put butter and sugar into an electric mixer and blend well. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix well. Add flour and whipping cream. Place in a cold oven at 325 degrees. Bake 1 hour and 40 minutes. Bake in a Bundt cake pan.  Serve with strawberries or your favorite fruit mln

Spoon Rolls

4 cups SR flour and 1egg  sugar opt.  1Tablespoon dried yeast 2 and 1/half cups lukewarm water 2/3 cup nargaring or butter 2tablespoons cornmeal Add yeast to warm water and stir Mix beaten egg with melted butter, and then add to the flour and meal Mix all and pour into a greased muffing pan Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees  Some ovens may vary  The dough is even better the next day if kept in the fridge 

Orange fluff

1 orange Jell-O, 1 vanilla pudding. Make the jello as directed on the box. Place in the fridge for about 15 minutes. Pour pudding into the Jello-bowl,  mix 1 cup of pineapples, and then mix in 1sm. can mandarin oranges. Add marshmallows and nuts if desired. Add a container of whipping cream and stir all together, and put into the fridge to cool

Baked chicken

6 or more chicken thighs or legs, breast in a casserole dish or crock pot.     Rub chicken with butter and dry ranch dressing. Pour about a cup of water into the bottom, cover with foil, and bake at 375 degrees. If using a crock pot, do the same but cook on high for 3 or 4 hours.
